The first ever indoor drone racing event in Staffordshire, FOR FREE!
Join us on the 4th of July for a 1 day race event, inside the old Spode(tm) ceramics factory, where the Pot Bank have converted the building to an event and market space, and for their opening day we have a industrial featured track!
This will be a fun but competitive drone racing amongst friends and non club members, purely practice and brownie points!
Take part in this series of races and find out your position against whoop pilots from up and down the country.
This is our first ever held race event, so please keep it light, fun and social. Members of the public will be around us in the pits area, but not on the track.
The racing will be done inline with standard TWUK rules, and insurance will be required to enter

Pilots will be randomly seeded into heats of 4 pilots
Minimum of 4 rounds of qualifying (more if we have time)
Your fastest 2 consecutive laps is your qualifying time
Your qualifying time seeds your finals starting position

The BDRA's preferred finals style
Everyone will get seeded from fastest to slowest into finals heats of 4 pilots

Each race is run 3 times
Pilots get finals points based on their finishing position
1st = 10 points
2nd = 6 points
3rd = 3 points
4th = 1 points
Your total points from those 3 races determine your Final Position at the event

All pilots will require insurance for this event.
If you are already a member of the BMFA you are ready to go.
If you are a member of an alternative drone insurer, unfortunately this is not sufficient. This is because other insurers (that we have found) do not cover competitive events. You will need BMFA or BTW Gold Membership insurance for this event as a condition of participating.
